Tank, a Virginia native, was born to Daniel P. Edwards Jr. (deceased) and Patricia A. Edwards. He was a sweet, loving boy/young man, fiercely loyal and protective of those he loved. He attended Fishburne Military School, Waynesboro, VA, class of 1991, where he excelled in both Leadership and Football. He had lifelong relationships with his classmates from Fishburne and considered many family.
Afterwards he joined the Army as a Track Vehicle Mechanic. While stationed in Fort Stewart, Ga (1996) he met Bracken, his wife of almost 23 years. After he was Medically and Honorably discharged from the Army, he worked as a Ford Certified Master Technician and, most recently, in Quality Control at Gulfstream. Tank and Bracken settled in Rincon, GA where they are raising their 2 daughters, Carolyn (18) and Amanda (16).
Tank was an active member of Goshen United Methodist Church, Past Master of Thunderbolt Lodge 693, current member of Solomon’s Lodge and The Scottish Rite. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. After losing his dear friend, Brian Moffitt, Tank became an honorary member of Triple Deuce family and was a member of Team 2-22 for four years participating in, and completing, the Tough Ruck two years with the undying support of Dale McCurry and the rest of the team. The Charity Tough Ruck was a cause near and dear to Tank's heart. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to miliaryfriends.org - the official charity of Tough Ruck Nation.
