James E "Sonny" Maddox Sr.,83 , of Thunderbolt passed away Monday, June 12th, 2017 at Tara at Thunderbolt Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born in Chatham County, Georgia , he was the son of Bonnie Maddox, Sr. and Jessie Mae Herndon Maddox. He was a commercial sign painter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bonnie R. Maddox, Jr., his sister Kathleen Maddox Rivers and his daughter, Donna Maddox Sikes.
Survivors include his sons, James Edwin Maddox, Jr., Allan Maddox, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his sister in law, Bessie Maddox, a number of other relatives and friends.
A Graveside service will be held, Friday, June 16th, 2017 at 10 am in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, with Rev. Cecil F. Gray officiating.
