James Dewey Crosby, Jr.

James "Jimmy" D. Crosby, Jr., 72, of Garden City passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at Abercorn Rehabilitation Center.
A native of Savannah, he was the son of the late James Dewey Crosby, Sr. and the late Vera McMahan Crosby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Darla Leigh Lane Crosby, and his sister, Christi Crosby Wilcox.
Jimmy was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council and was the Chairman of the Property Committee and was a member of Frank F. Baker Lodge #46, F&AM's. He had worked for the Garden City Police Department, Savannah and Chatham County EMT and later retired from the Garden City Fire Department as the Fire Chief.
Survivors include his children, James "Jimmy" D. Crosby, III, Jason Daniel Crosby (Jennifer), Cecelia Blackmon, 3 grandchildren, Khloe Blackmon, Jared and Jaina Crosby, 2 sisters, Eilleen Adkinson, Diane Conway, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, July, 12, 2021 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor David H. Rasmussen and Minister Wilma Garing Officiating.
Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
