James (Bubba) P. Jones Jr., 59, of Savannah died suddenly Friday, January 22, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Bubba was a lifelong resident of Savannah and a member of Silk Hope Baptist Church. He was self employed for 35 years and been business partners with Freddy Woods for 20 years. He loved racing and hot rods.
He was preceded in death by his father, James P. Jones Sr.; step father, Oscar Googe; brother-in- law, Ronnie Griffin; in-laws, Ann and Johnny Page.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Terri Page Jones; son, Jonathan Jones (Megan); mother, Juanita Googe; sisters, Angie Jones Griffin and Susie Gerrald (Fred); brothers, Jason Googe and Benny Googe (Georgia); son by choice, Tony Washington; his nieces and nephews were like his grandchildren, Ajay Page, Frankie Page, Stacy Griffin Roberts (Moon), Waylyn Page, Hunter and Taylor Barker, Whitney Zottloi (Billy), Cody, Kylee, Courtney Googe; Carson and Chandler Roberts; and his dog, Gator.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Family Life Center Building Fund at Silk Hope Baptist Church.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Silk Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Phillips officiating.
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery.
