Devoted husband and beloved father
James A. "Jimmy" Clinton, 57, came to the end of his long battle with cancer Sunday, November 15, at his home with his family by his side.
Jimmy was born April 22, 1958, in Savannah, GA to Willa Dean and James A. Clinton Sr. He moved to the lowcountry in 1973 where he had a long career as a master carpenter. He built countless beautiful homes across Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, SC. He met his wife of thirty-five years in Bluffton where they built their life and family together.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Lori Clinton; his children Todd Clinton (Jessica), Shawn Gorman, Heather Sons (Gary), and Kimber Clinton; his mother, Willa Dean Hendrix Anthony; his siblings Debbie Stansbury, Bobby Davis, Mitch Clinton, and Lori Beckman; his six grandchildren; Jenna, Brandon, Katie, Zoë, Nicholas, Emma and his many many friends. He was preceded in death by his son James A. "Jim Jim" Clinton III.
A memorial service will be held Saturday November 21, 2015 at 11am at Great Swamp Baptist Church in Ridgeland SC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, PO BOX 3827, BlufftonSC 29910.
