James Lee Addington (Jimmy) of Pooler, Georgia passed away on April 4,2023 after a long illness at the age of 75.
Jimmy was born January 9, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia to Ruth Gorman Addington and Bert Addington. Jimmy spent most of his life in the Atlanta area before moving to Pooler several years ago. He was retired.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, his brother Al Addington and his brother Don Addington. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter Maria Elizabeth Addington.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son James Brannon Addington and his wife Michele of Augusta, Georgia and Pooler, Georgia. He also leaves behind one granddaughter Megan Ashley Addington and one great grandson James Phoenix Addington of Richmond Hill, Georgia and one step-granddaughter Danielle Palermino of Augusta, Georgia. His surviving sister in law is Pat Addington, of Atlanta, Georgia. Jimmy also had many nieces and nephews in and around the Atlanta area.
Jimmy also leaves his canine companion Happy who brought him much joy and and happiness as well as many special friends and caregivers. Jimmy will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date.
