James A. Holloway

James Alexander Holloway tragically died Sunday February 19, 2017 leaving his family bereft. He is survived by his father James Lyon Holloway, mother Marian Graham Holloway, his sister Patricia "Trish" Graham, and his nieces Scarlette and Cecilia, and nephew Sebastian who is Cecilia's twin brother. His many aunts and uncles, and many, many cousins from Savannah to San Francisco all grieve with his closest family.

Alex to everyone who knew and loved him, Xander to his Mom, and James to "THE MAN", has left this realm for another where we as mere mortals cannot follow. Everyone who knew Alex will remember what a bright and (usually) pleasant kid he was. He did have his moments and if you knew Alex, you knew that too. The 30 years we shared this world were all too brief. In those years he grew into a fine young man, an excellent musician who played many styles of music and instruments, a loving friend to his companions, a veracious reader, and a deeply contemplative human being. He is going to be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

Alex did not want us to be sad for him. He will live forever through his music, his poetry, and his art, and everyone whose heart he touched just by meeting him.

There is a Visitation Friday February 24, 2017 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive - Savannah, GA 31406 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM or thereabouts.
