James Austin Eason, age 87, died Friday, January7, 2011 at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, January 15, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Talahi Island, 561 Suncrest Blvd. Savannah, GA 31410. Evan Ellis will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date.
James was born in Collins, GA on August 15, 1923 to the late Alice Cribbs Eason and Henry Eason. He lived most of his life in Savannah, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a distributor for Murray Cookie Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Marie Eason and a son David L. Eason.
Survivors include his children Anthony Eason (Carol) of Savannah, Paul Eason (Nancy) of Richmond Hill, Deborah Tharpe (Scott) of Guyton and Dianne Brunson (David) of Richmond Hill and nine grandchildren Amie Sedgewick (Ty), Tammy Maxey (Kevin), Jessica Eason, John Brogan, Jr.(Susan), Daniel Eason (Jamey), Scott Tharpe, Jr., Britton Eason (Sarah), Zachery Eason and Ryan Eason and great grandchildren.
