Jacquylen Annette Barthelmess

Jacquylen "Jackie" Page Jones Barthelmess, known affectionately as "Gommie" passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 6, 2024, in Savannah, Georgia. She was
born on February 16, 1933, to the late Cornelius Daniel Page and Olivia Snypes Page. Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, C. Daniel Page Jr., and husbands, Hamer Lee Jones and
George Wesley Barthelmess.

Jackie was a woman of deep faith and was the last charter member of Southside Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she exemplified her Christian values, volunteering in the church nursery and participating in the Blackston/Black Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lachlon McIntosh Chapter. She found joy in various activities throughout her years, including her weekly bridge games and involvement with the German Country Club, the Amdoes and Ambucs. Jackie was also an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.

Family was at the center of Jackie's life, and she cherished spending time with her loved ones. She was always up for family gatherings and trips to visit cousins whom she considered siblings. Her hometown of Gastonia, North Carolina, always held a special place in her heart.

Jackie is survived by her children: LeAnne Jones Consos and husband Donald; Donna Jones Tuten and husband Charles; and Hamer "Chip" Lee Jones Jr. and wife Anne Marie. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Tiffany Consos Aliotta and husband Sean, Melanie Consos Stewart and husband Robbie, Kimberly Fields Phillips and husband Chris, Emily Fields Watson and husband Jay, McCall Jones Rackley and husband Joseph, and Griffin Jones and wife Jacquie. Additionally, she leaves behind thirteen great-grandchildren: Hayden and Reagan Aliotta, Page, Will, and Presley Stewart, Haley and Ella Phillips, Harper and Jack Watson, and Anna Claire, Cleve, John, and Caroline Rackley.

The family extends their gratitude to the compassionate staff at Hospice Savannah for their exceptional care.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Southside Baptist Church, located at 5502 Skidaway Road, Savannah, Georgia, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will take place at Greenwich Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jackie's memory to Hospice Savannah at 1352 Eisenhower Drive, Savannah, Georgia, or the Humane Society for Greater Savannah at 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia.
