Jacquelyn Saturday Turner, 85, of Savannah, GA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.
Jackie, as we all know her was born in 1937 in Claxton, GA.
Jackie was a member of Grace United Methodist Church since 1950. She was a member of The Women's Auxillary, lead the Missions where they went to help in Jerusalem and Brazil, and she was also a member of the choir and she worked with the children and helped organize garage sales. She loved God and serving her Church. She graduated from Savannah High School where she was in the Sorority. She also attended Armstrong College. She first went to work at Southern Bell Telephone Company for a few years and then she went to Sears Roebuck, later known as Sears. She was the Credit Manager and retired after 37 years. Jackie loved to travel, which she enjoyed a lot with The American Business Women's Association. She also was a great dancer!! She loved telling the story of when she was 18 and met Elvis Presley at a concert. She met him and he kissed her hand!! She loved her family and took great pleasure in watching Eli Grow.
Surviving are her Twin Sons, Richard Jackson Turner and his wife Nee of Thailand and Robert Nile Turner and his wife Trisha; 1 Granddaughter, Ashley; and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry C. Saturday, Coley Saturday, Larry Smith, Keith Coleman, Brian Bowen.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2023 at Grace Methodist Church.
