Jacob Lawrence Dimond, 50, died at home surrounded by his family on December 21, 2022.
He was born in Atlanta, GA on December 29, 1971. Jacob graduated from Savannah Country Day School and received a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the College of Charleston. He furthered his education in the field of Information Technology and started his own IT business.
Jacob devoted his life to living each day fully. He valued generosity, loyalty, and patience and exemplified this in his everyday life. Jacob loved the outdoors and spent many happy days enjoying nature. He especially loved his family, friends, and neighborhood community. Jacob loved his work and considered his clients as friends. He found joy in helping others.
Jacob was known for his gentle spirit, warmth, humility, and kindheartedness. His friendliness impacted everyone around him. Experiencing Jacob’s quiet and gentle kindness left anyone in his presence wanting to be a better person. His positivity was contagious. His Dad taught him to make a positive difference in someone’s life everyday, The love, devotion, and loyalty he felt for his wife and children was inspiring and admirable. He was the best Husband and the best Dad. He was honored to be a loving son and brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Charlene Haddad Dimond, his cherished children Patrick Keith Dimond and Rebecca Jeanne Dimond, his mother Julie Shinkle Dimond, his sister Emily Alexander Jowers (Rick), all of Savannah, GA, his Aunt Jennifer Shinkle Carr (Kirk Jr.) and cousins Kirk III., and Blake of Ridgefield, CT, ten nieces and nephews, and several brothers and sisters-in-law who love him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father Dr. Keith Allen Dimond and his brother Jeffrey Allen Dimond along with his grandparents.
