Jack R. Adams, 85, of Savannah, GA, passed away February 3, 2018 at Fairview Hospital in Dublin, GA. He was born in Mayking, KY. He was a lifelong resident of Savannah and graduated from Commercial High School. He attended Armstrong Atlantic University and Savannah State College. He retired from the United States Marine Corp after serving more than 20 years with active duty in Korea and 2 combat tours in Vietnam. He also retired from Civil Service at Hunter Army Airfield in 1995. Jack is an active member of the 3rd Marine Division Association, American Legion Post 184, The Marine Corps League, Dog Co. USMC Reserve, and the Veterans Council. Jack was voted Veteran of the year for 2004-2005, representing Savannah,Chatham Co.,GA. Jack is a member of the Alee Temple and Tybee Lite Shrine Club. He is a member Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church and President of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. He donated much of his time volunteering with Hospice Savannah, St. Joseph Candler Auxiliary on the Candler Campus. He also served as president of the Sonart Service Advisory Board, USO, and was called the "Mayor" by Kelly Tours.
Survived by his wife Diane Adams; sister, Linda Brummitt.

Interment following service at Forest Lawns Memorial Gardens.
