Jack New

Jack "Papa Jack" New, 81, of Savannah and husband of Pat New, died Sunday, December 18 in Savannah.
He was born on April 25, 1935 in Atlanta, a son of the late Jack and Mattie Ruth Hicks New.
Jack served his country in the United States Air Force Reserves.
He was a long time member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
He was Executive Vice President of Goodwill Industries where he had been employed from 1989- 2010. His "passion" while there was the development of a successful contract division that served many companies and organizations in the area. His "joy" was all of the people which he worked with, his "fun" time was every May, when he would gather them all together for "Goodwill Day"!
Survivors include His wife, Pat New; daughter, Lori Lynn (Abe) Shefa, of Los Angeles, CA; sons, Michael P. Vaughn (Linda), Timothy E. Vaughn (Sheryl Waters) and Anthony W. Vaughn (Jenna Thompson), all of Savannah. Other survivors include his sister, Marion Reagin; nephew, Danny Regain and neice, Diane Key, all of Lithonia, Ga. Jack, along with his beloved wife, Pat, shared many loving grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:30am to 12:00pm, Wednesday, December 28 at ConneXion Church, 5411 Skidaway Road, Savannah. A funeral will be held at 12:00pm, following the visitation at ConneXion Church.
