Jack Barry Crutchfield, Sr., age 83 of Savannah died January 28, 2018 at his home. Born in Durham, NC, he is preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Barnell Crutchfield.
Barry graduated from Durham High in 1953 and was a lifelong Duke fan. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Atlantic Wood Industries where he served 35 years as a Salesman. Barry was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield until illness prevented him from attending.
Barry is survived by his brother, Michael Crutchfield of Durham;a son, Jack Barry Crutchfield, Jr. of Brunswick, another son, John Mark Crutchfield of Savannah; a daughter, Donna Gailer of Toccoa; a step-daughter, Jan Wells of Guyton; a step-son, Ted Ray of Rincon; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Special thanks are extended to Crystal Rush and Luke Bunton for their loving care in Barry's final days.
Visitation: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey East Memorial Park Cemetery.
