Dedicated Wife, Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great and Great-Great Grandmother.
Idelle age 99, of Savannah, GA, passed into God's hands following a short illness, Friday May 12th. She was a dedicated wife, involved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a wonderful example of faith, hope and charity! She was a faithful member of Ardsley Park Baptist Church for many years. Her talent for sewing was her life's passion, sewing for her children and helping to support her growing family. Dona Idelle Hill was born February 20th 1918, in Emitt Township Bulloch County Georgia, daughter to Walter Calsey Joyner And Donie Mae Waters. Shortly after she was born, her mother passed away. She was raised by her Grandparents Thomas Alexander Waters and Nellie Pearl Glissen. She married Ward Edward Hill April 30th 1934. They lived in Savannah GA, and had 5 children a boy James Edward, who died shortly after birth and 4 girls, Winona, Jeanette, Marilyn and Diane. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn of Savannah GA and Diane of Richmond hill GA; she has 13 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 23 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband Ward Edward Hill, beloved daughters Dorothy Jeanette Clark, Winona Lyndell Fountain and grandson David Luther Clark.
May she find peace in the loving arms of our Lord.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Buddy Clay officiating.
Burial: Brooklet City Cemetery.
