Hugh Manson Gross, Jr.

Hugh Manson Gross, Jr. of Guyton was born on December 3, 1945 and died Saturday, June 5, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Hugh was born in Savannah, Georgia to the late Hugh Manson Gross, Sr. and the late Marjorie Crowley Gross. He was the owner of his family business , Right Way Home Remodeling which was started in 1945 by his father until he retired in 2013. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was affectionately known as their Tick Tick since he had an artificial valve that you could hear tick when they laid on his chest as children. He was a skilled carpenter and a NASCAR fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Johnny Gross, Larry Gross, sisters, Patty Gross and Marjorie Gross Cail.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Evelyn Cramer Gross, son and daughter-in-law, Hugh Manson Gross, III and Marty Gross, his grandsons who were his world, Jakob, Jonah and Jadon, a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Funeral Home.

Graveside Service: 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
