Howard Eugene West, 70, of Rincon, Georgia went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 29, 2022.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late George Eugene West and Margaret Howell West.
Howard was raised in Savannah and loved the outdoors. He was a quiet man but boy could he talk, always having a story to tell and a joke to make you laugh. He was a lifelong truck driver, avid hunter, and had a passion for fast cars and loved racing. He was a Baptist and was known by many names and titles, Howard, Daddy, Papa, brother,or Greyfox to name a few.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Kay Johnson West, children, Brandy M. West, Christina West Thompson, Jason McCullough (Christina), Ryan McCullough (Trish), Megan Sheppard (Blake), sister, Betty W. Moore (Philip), brothers, Milton W. West "PeeWee", Davis Quick (Betty). He was Papa to 11 grandchildren, Madison, Noah, Lexie, Kinley, Nate, Macie, Nashton, Connor, Jack, Skylie, Grayson, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 with services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
