Reverend Howard Hubert Reinhold III, age 82, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 after an extended illness.
Howard was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the parents of the late Ruth Fisher Phillips and Howard Hubert Reinhold Jr.. Howard graduated from Oberlin High School in 1960. After graduating, he went on to serve in the United States Navy as a cook. In 1970, Howard graduated from Prairie Bible Institute. On October 16, 1971 at Avon Baptist Church in Avon, Ohio he married the love of his life, Linda Kay Friend. They were married over fifty years. Together, they had two beautiful daughters, Tonya Lynn and Marla Anne. Howard served as a pastor of Avon Baptist Church in Avon, Ohio and West Side Baptist Church in Lorain, Ohio. He also worked and retired from Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake, Ohio as a painter for the Econoline Vans. In 2018, he and his wife Linda moved to Savannah, Georgia.
Howard enjoyed fishing and camping in his younger days. He loved to fix his famous pancake and waffle breakfasts for his grandkids when they were little. Howard also enjoyed watching science fiction and superhero movies, especially with his grandkids. Howard is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kay Friend Reinhold; his parents; and his two brothers, Rudy Reinhold Sr. of Oberlin, Ohio, and Jule Reinhold of Oberlin, Ohio.
He is survived by his daughters, Tonya (Mike) Nagy of Georgia, Marla (Christopher) Rodgers of Ohio; five grandchildren, Travis Nagy of Georgia, Kayla (Gene) Hahn of Ohio, Cody (Olivia) Rodgers of Ohio, Taylor Nagy of Georgia, and Tyler Nagy of Georgia; three great grandchildren, Beah Aibhlinn, Elijah Glenn, and Estella Mae; and two sisters, Linda Byrley and Rita (Buford) Jones of Ohio.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. November 1, 2023 at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship, 36300 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039 with Reverend Glenn Dunn officiating the service.
