Howard Mitchell, 86, of Richmond Hill passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at his home under the care of Hospice.
He was born in Pulaski, Georgia and was the son of the late Elwood Mitchell and the late Bessie Dixon Mitchell.
Howard had a strong Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was the owner and operator of Howard Mitchell Paint Contracting and was a US Army National Guard Veteran serving as a Medic. He enjoyed spending time on the river fishing and going out to dinner with his wife, Shirley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Eloise, Irma "Nina", Shirley and brother Elvin "Fuzzy"; and a grandson, Jeffery Mitchell.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, children, Pamela M. Knight, Garry Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Richard "Rick" Mitchell (Sharon), siblings, Pratt, Marvin, Danny, Aileen, Cindy, Mary, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May, 26, 2022 at the Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m in the Chapel of the Funeral Home followed by burial at Hillcrest West Cemetery.
