HOMER EZRA WIGGINS
Homer Ezra Wiggins, 77, of Shellman Bluff, Georgia, passed away peacefully from a brief illness on Monday, October 24, 2016. He was born in Emmanuel County, raised at Bethesda Home for Boys, and lived most of his life in Savannah, Georgia. He married the love of his life, Patricia Jones Wiggins on August 4, 1961.
Homer was a passionate man who enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was employed by Air Liquide Corporation as plant manager for 28 years. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corp for eleven years and remained a Marine at heart for his entire life. He committed his life to Jesus Christ and was an active member at South Newport Baptist Church.
Homer is survived by his wife, Patricia Wiggins. He was extremely loving and proud of his three children, Ron Wiggins (Jean), of Savannah, Steve Wiggins (Jessica), of Richmond Hill, and Susie Caldwell (Daniel), of Savannah. He is also survived by his brother, Harold Wiggins (Wanda) of Glennville, and his sister, Gloria Nibblett of Forsyth; grandchildren: Allan Wiggins (Brea), Bobby Wiggins, Joshua Caldwell, Madison Caldwell, Brayden Wiggins, Matthew Wiggins, and Nolan Wiggins.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00am at South Newport Baptist Church, 23344 US-17, Townsend, Georgia (I-95 exit 67). In lieu of flowers the family respectfully asked that donations be sent to Little L.A.M.Bat South Newport Baptist Church.
