Herman Floyd Roberts, 75, of Guyton, Georgia died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his residence under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
He was born in Albany,Ga., and was a veteran having served in the U. S.Army.
He was retired from Stone Container Company in Port Wentworth, where he served as a skilled Craft Mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his son, Herman Floyd Roberts, II.
He was a member of St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church,and attended Bethesa United Methodist Church at Guyton, Ga.
He was a member of Landrum Lodge # 48, F. & A.M.'s.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Burke Roberts, of Guyton, Ga; 2 sons, Timothy Earl Roberts (Jodi) of Marietta, Ga; and Richard Allen Roberts of Cartersville, Ga; one daughter, Laura Roberts Grayson (Buddy) of Guyton, Ga; brother, Donald Robers (Jeanette) of Stone Mountain, Ga; 2 sisters, Kaherine Louise Watts (Bob) of Round Rock, Texas; and Jacqueline Luke of Dunn, N.C., 9 grandchildren.
Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Friday in the Baker McCullough Garden City Chapel, with Rev. Matt Waldron, pastor of Bethesda United Methodist Church officiating.
