Herbert "Bert" W. Hubbard, 80, of Savannah, died Saturday at Hospice Savannah.
He was born in Ridgeland, South Carolina, and was a graduate of Hardeeville High School, and was a member of the South Carolina U.S. Army National Guard, in Ridgeland, S.C.
He was a member of the Hardeeville United Methodist Church, where his mother served as Church Treasurer for over 50 years, until her death.
Bert was a member of the Hardeeville Masonic Lodge # 348, F. & A.M.'s, the Scottish Rite Consistory - Valley of Savannah, and a member of Directors Staff for 48 years, at Alee Shrine Temple in Savannah, Ga.
Bert was retired from Hubbard Brothers Construction Company, in Hardeeville, S.C., where he was responsible for building many homes in South Carolina.
He is survived by 2 brothers, John Samuel Hubbard, Jr., of Hilton Head, S.C., and Wallace Lamar Hubbard (Barbara) of Chapin, S.C., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406.
Graveside Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Lukes United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Pritchardville, S.C., next to his parents.
