Henry Clayton Floyd Jr., 87, of Springfield, GA passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at home in Springfield, GA.
A native of Afton, Oklahoma, he was the son of Henry Clayton Floyd and Lela Johnson Floyd. He served honorably in the United States Air Force for 32 years, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring in 1996. He was a member at Rincon Church of God.
Henry was a family man who adored his family and spending time with them. He was a jokester at heart and thoroughly enjoyed making anyone he came in contact with laugh. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and never missed a game, whether on TV or in person.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Joyce Floyd; sons, David, Tony and Paul Floyd; grandson, Clay Floyd.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia McDaniel (Jack); 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; brother, Don Floyd (Toni); sister, Martha Jean Terry; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 28, from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 29, at 11AM in the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Les Woodard officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West.
