Henry Benson

Henry Benson, 85, of Savannah, died peacefully July 23, 2016 at Emory University Hospital, in Atlanta, Ga, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Savannah, and was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Quincey Benson, Sr., and Ruth Rebecca Strickland.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served in the US Army.
He was retired from Century 21 "BenCo" Real Estate Company, in Atlanta, Ga.
He was a member of White Bluff United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lee Donaldson Benson, Savannah, Ga; 2 sons, Michael Henry Benson (Regina) of Louisviille, Kentucky; and Robert Steven Benson (Cathy) of Spartanburg, S.C.; daughter, Rebecca Anne Benson, (Bob), Englewood, Florida; 2 brothers, Alec Benson (Terry), of Savannah, Ga; and Richard Benson, Savannah, Ga; sister, Mrs. Ruby Bacon, Savannah, Ga; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews..
Visitation: 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. John Haney, officiating.
Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
