Harry Jue, Sr., 94, of Savannah and husband of Mary Jue, passed away Wednesday, May 3rd, at Hospice Savannah.
He was born on March 27, 1923 in Augusta, Ga, a son of the late Goon and Fong Jue.
As part of the "Greatest Generation" Harry served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the pacific and European Theaters, participating in the Normandy Invasion in France and the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. In the 1970's Harry and his brothers, Ted and George opened one of the Original 7-11 stores at Hayner's Creek in Savannah.
Mr. Jue was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Raymond Jue, Sr., Theodore Jue, Tommy Jue and George Jue and son-in-law, Wayne Knight.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jue; daughter, Pamela Knight; son, Harry Jue, Jr. and his wife, Gail; grandchildren, Megan Pallay and her husband, Geoff, Shannon Rose and her husband, Rob, Kimberly Rosario and her husband, Fernando and Tamara Phipps and her husband, Charlie; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Nadia, Walker, Adrienne and James; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15, from 3:00pm-4:00pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm following the visitation in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
