Harry George Johnson, 66, of Bloomingdale, GA passed away August 30, 2023 at Memorial Hospital.
A native of Norwich, Connecticut, he was the son of Harry Johnson and Rose Grillo Johnson.
Harry was a hard working man who was employed by NFI Drayage as a truck driver for more that 24 years. Prior to being a truck driver, he worked for Linton Trust for a time.
He was a simple man who loved his wife, children and grandbabies with all of his heart. His second love was most definitely food. He especially enjoyed his wife’s cooking and would often smoke meat to go with all of his favorites that she made for him.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, raising chickens and RC airplanes and cars.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife 21 years, Linda Hall Johnson; children, Tyger Vivona (Donna), Virginia Roman, Tawana Edelstein (Troy), Michael Johnson, Jason Johnson, Nichole Dye (Jeremy Jones), Erica Dye (Josh Collins), Pamela Brown (Johnny) and Thomas Tredwell; grandchildren, Catalina, Gianna, Gabriel, Stella, Jude, Phoenix, Charlotte, and Emmalynn; great granddaughter, Cataleyah; siblings, Anthony Grillo, Renee Bylinowski, Irene Johnson and George Johnson; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jamie, Jordan, Joshua, Christopher and Timothy Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry’s honor to nokidhungry.org, a cause that was near and dear to him.
