Glenda Joyce Hill, 64, of Savannah, passed away June 5, 2021.
She was born in Savannah, GA to the late Albert G. Hill and Nancy Melinda Curlee Hill on June 8, 1956. For many years, she was self-employed as a General Contractor, before becoming a Special Education Teacher at Richmond Hill Elementary School. Her hobbies included fishing whenever possible, and she had a green thumb, growing just about anything. She loved her friends and neighbors and valued their conversations, walks through the neighborhood with their dogs, and relaxing by the pool. She adored her grandchildren and attended their baseball games when able. She loved to brag about Landon and Noah’s skills on the field and always enjoyed hearing the results of their games and tournaments.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Shelley Carnes Smith; and a sister, Linda Hill Mathis. Surviving are a son, Dale Carnes (Katherine); grandchildren, Landon and Noah; a sister, Brenda Hoffman (Elton); and her loving dog, Sadie.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11am at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406 with Rev. David Laughner officiating.
