Gisele Juliette Bush "Gigi", age 86, of Savannah passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 unexpectedly.
Gisele was born on September 16, 1934 in La Rochelle, France. She was a talented hairdresser and owned her own shop in Savannah. She was involved with French Club in Hinesville and also enjoyed being part of a card club for many years. She volunteered at several nursing homes and offered her talents of hairdressing to the residents. Gisele was a member of Southside Baptist Church and really treasured the friendships she made in her Sunday School class. She had many friends through the years and never considered anyone a stranger. Gisele had a giving heart and loved to cook for the ones she loved. She enjoyed crochet, sending cards, working with flowers, making jewelry, shopping, spending money, eating good food, taking care of her dog; Meme, and word find books. In 2019, she was able to travel to France and was able to visit her family one last time making memories that will forever be cherished.
Her biggest joy was spending time with family. She was very proud of each of them. She is survived by her children, Randy Bush (Debbie), Lydia Bush of Midway, GA, and Richard Bush (Lisa) of Rincon, GA, ; grandchildren, Nicole Kemp, Gigi Davis (Rick), Stacy Awbry (Brad), Cody Bush, and Casey Bush; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her sister, Eilene Gros of La Rochelle, France; and several nieces and nephews.
Through the years she developed a wonderful relationship with her physicians. The family would like to acknowledge Dr. Rendon, Dr. Hartigen, Dr. King, Dr. Zoller, Dr. Degenhart, Dr. Williams, Dr. Poston, Dr. Mazo, and Dr. Mesorobian. Thank you all so much for taking such amazing care of our Mother.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel Burial will follow at the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
