Gerda Ille (nee Jahnke) Born October 29, 1934 in Berlin Germany. Passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late Guenter. Dedicated mother of Cornelia Ille-Hoekstra, Marcus (Susan), and the late Thomas. Loving Oma
to Christian, Alex and Anna Ille-Hoekstra, and Connor and Cole Kirby. Also survived by countless friends and relatives in the United States
and Germany.
Gerda was a dedicated member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Wilmington Island and a founding member of the Savannah "Kaffeeklatsch Club".
She was an member of the Spielmannszug Milwaukee Drum and Bugle Corps for over 50 years and an Honor member. She and her husband Guenter were also
past members of the Geechee Sailing Club in Savannah and South Shore Yacht club in Milwaukee.
Gerda loved shopping, cooking, sewing and crafts.
Services will be held Saturday February 22, 2020 at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 51 Wilmington Island Road, Savannah,GA 31410. Visitation
2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. with Services to follow at 4 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
Memorials to the Church appreciated.
