Gerald William White, age 91, of Savannah passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021.
Mr. White was born on December 15, 1929 in Okmulgee, OK, the son of the late John and Elvia White. He attended college in Texas where he earned his Associate’s Degree. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served during the Korean War. Following his military tenure he began working with Pinkerton Security where he retired after many years of service in management. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was an avid watch collector.
Mr. White is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lynda L. White; daughters, Julie Lynn Thompson (Mayes) and Donna Cooper (Donnie); and grandchildren, William White, Karen White, Jessica Thompson, Adam Cooper, and Juletta Swain.
A private memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
