Georgene Formby, age 68, of Savannah passed away Monday, April 3, 2023.
Mrs. Formby was born February 4, 1955 in Savannah to the late George Washington Griffin and the late Edith Wilma Parrish. She worked for many years as a clerk and retired from Landings Golf Cart. George, as she was known, was always willing to tell how not to use credit cards and that there are somethings pigs won't do.
Survivors include her husband, Tim Formby; son, Joe Bob Merriman and his wife Jennifer; and grandchildren: Robert Alfred, Rachel Gene, Abigail Rose, and Wyatt Levoy; stepdaughter Amber Rooks and her husband Judd; and grandsons: Andrew Gary, William Gary, Emerson Rooks, and Rhys Rooks; sisters Jessie Griffin and Geanett Tarver and Tony Griffin (nephew), Michael Dugger (nephew), David Dugger (nephew), and Lacie Tarver (niece).
