With great sadness – we announce the sudden and regrettable loss of George Snarberg Jr, who passed peacefully on Saturday July 15 th , 2023.
Born in Manhattan NY, Son to George Snarberg Sr and Marie Jean Ammaccapane. He was a police officer for nearly 20 years for the New York Police Department. It was during this period of his working life that he accrued many of the wonderful stories that he was so willing to narrate in good company, and will be remembered for, by all who knew him.
George was a loved character who formed an immediate and lasting bond with everyone he met. He found absolute and true love in his life when he met and fell in love with his sweetheart, Paula (Tuccio) Snarberg. They were married on August 17 th , 1975, and had three beautiful children, whom he adored, and was adored by; Gina (Snarberg) Shields, George Snarberg III, and Jill Snarberg. Untimely and deeply heartbreaking is this moment for the love of his life, his loving wife Paula Tuccio Snarberg. They had a rare love that only comes along once in a lifetime.
George leaves behind his loving children: Gina Shields and her husband Damien Shields, Pooler GA; his son George Snarberg III and his wife Liana (Blackburn) Snarberg, Encino CA; and his daughter Jill Snarberg, Philadelphia PA. His beloved grandchildren, Molly and Dylan Shields, Dublin Ireland; Tony and Jordan Shields, Pooler GA; and George Snarberg IV, Encino, CA. His loving brother Peter and his wife (Sissy) Lorraine Snarberg, his Aunt Angelina Paradyze, West Palm Beach FL. His loving sisters-in-law, Kathleen Kampel and her husband Michael Kampel of Boynton Beach FL; Donna Rae Forbes and her husband Alex Forbes of Prescott, AZ. His legacy and memory will be regrettably grieved by all his loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
Rest easy, George, and know that you had a true and deep impact on everyone who knew you - we will love you and miss you forever.
The family would like everyone to know that there will be a Celebration of Life for George at a later date (to be determined) in Lacey Township, NJ, where George, Paula, and their children lived for many years.
