George Edward Perry Sr. died June 30, 2018 at memorial hospital
He was 82 years old
Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Bette dolman Perry. his parents Davis Lee Perry Sr. & Louise Nelson Perry, his sister Emma Perry Granat. He is survived by his children George E. Perry Jr. "Eddie", Donald Anthony Perry "Tony" (Mary), Barney Lee Perry, Dolores Perry Norris "Dee". 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, brother Davis Lee Perry Jr, (Barbara), sister Mozelle Hohrein. along with several nieces and nephews.
Ed owned and operated the Wilmington Island Chevron. after a brief semi retirement Ed was back in the service station business owning and operating Perry's Amoco. Ed & his wife Bette ventured into a business "Bette's badges & signs" that allowed them to travel all over the united states making badges and signs. both treasured not only the memories of their journey's but the lifetime of friendships made along the way.
Edward was a deacon at higher ground Baptist church formerly Crest Hill Baptist. He was very active with the church and a member of the choir.
Visitation: 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday July 5, 2018 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11 am Friday July 6, 2018 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
