George Allen Bookhoop

George Allen Bookhoop, age 69, of Savannah passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

Mr. Bookhoop was born May 5, 1953 in Savannah to the late Fred W. Bookhoop, Sr. and Bobbie Arnsdorf Bookhoop. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and retired after 38 years of service as a project manager estiimator for the Department of Defense. Mr. Bookhoop was a member and Past Master of the Roger Lacy Lodge #722. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge and Legion 1550, and the Southside Fire Department, Station 6, Montgomery Division; where he worked as Chief for several years.

Survivors include his wife of over 46 years, Donna Bookhoop; son and daughter-in-law, Jordan Allen & Nikki Bookhoop; daughter, Jessica L. Bookhoop; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred "Bubba" & Joey Bookhoop, Jr. and Harry & Vickie Bookhoop; sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn & David Hood and Susan & Jim Burch; and two granddaughters, Paisley & Sailor.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, December 29, 2022 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).
