Mrs. Geneva Owens Williams, age 72, of Savannah, died, Sunday, January 19, 2025, at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, after an extended illness. Geneva was born on June 28, 1952 in Allendale, South Carolina; she was a native of Savannah and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Jenkins High School and was a homemaker. Geneva was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Savannah and loved going to church. In her spare time, she enjoyed flowers, playing bingo, and loved making ceramics. She loved being with her family and was a very outspoken person. Geneva is preceded in death by her husband of nine years, Collins Williams; her mother, Elizabeth Woods Owens; her brother, Ulysee Owens; her uncle, Jesse Adams; and her cousins, Mincey Adams and Victor Adams.
Her family includes her daughter, Victoria Williams of Michigan; three grandchildren, Djuan Chandler, Daiveon Chandler, and Jaylon Jones; her aunt, Ella Taylor of Savannah; three cousins, Charles and Tony Adams, and Leigh Cain; and several, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.) beginning at 1:00 until just prior to the service. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.) Burial will be at Greenwich Cemetery at a later date.
