Fred D. Johnson, 79, of Savannah passed away Sunday, June 11th, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Vidalia, Georgia, he was the son of late Lorenzy Johnson and Alma Coe Johnson. Fred was a veteran of the US Army.
Fred was a 1956 graduate of Oak Park High School; was retired from Southeastern Freight Liners after 29 years of service and a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Eudell Collins Johnson; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Faith Bradley and Darrel, Lori Ann Clark and Paul; grandchildren, Jessica Wynn, Brandy Marble, Amanda Bradley, Joshua and Cody Clark; great grandchildren, Audrey Wynn, Jake, Cheyenne and Charlee Marble; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 11:00 am in Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Lyons, Georgia at 2:30 pm with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
