Franklin "Frank" Lanier Ambrose

February 23, 1946 — November 15, 2022

Franklin "Frank" Lanier Ambrose, 76, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Candler Hospital.

A native of Savannah, he was the son of the late Franklin Tel Ambrose and the late Mary Magdalene Wilson Ambrose.

Frank was a 1964 graduate of Savannah High School and a graduate of Armstrong College with a degree in Accounting. He was an Accountant and had worked with several shipping companies including Strachan Shipping, Southeastern Maritime, Associated Stevedores and later retired from the Savannah Symphony. After retirement Frank worked for The Landings at the Landings Club at the cart barn. He was a US Army National Guard Veteran and enjoyed playing Golf.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sandra Elliott Ambrose; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kelly Banks, granddaughters, Morgan Elizabeth Banks and Ashlyn Michelle Banks; his extended family the Langford's; his caregiver, Shirley Young; many cousins, other family and friends.

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Catholic Cemetery.
