- PORT WENTWORTH - Mrs. Frankie L. Roberts, 82, of Port Wentworth, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Candler Hospital. She was born in Aiken, South Carolina, daughter of Bessie and Arthur Toole. She graduated from Commercial High School in Savannah, Georgia. She married Willie Frank Roberts May 3, 1951. Ms. Frankie, as she was affectionately called, was a homemaker for several years, raising four children and working as a bookkeeper for Delta Sales in Port Wentworth, GA and Lovett Hardware in Rincon, GA for many years. Ms. Frankie was kind to everyone she knew and always willing to help anyone in need. She was like a ray of sunshine with hope and love. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother, Bessie Heath.
Surviving are her children Ron Roberts (Suzy) of Pooler, GA; Debra Lynn Collins (Jim) of Savannah, GA; Don Roberts of Richmond Hill, GA; Glenda Mullins (Wesley) of Richmond Hill, GA; grandchildren Margaret Williamson (Scott), Jesse Roberts, Hillary Roberts and Jake Mullins, her brother Arthur Toole (Linda) and nephew Gary Toole of Norfolk, VA.
Visitation will be 2 pm - 4 pm on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (formerly Fairview Funeral Home), Garden City Chapel, 2794 Hwy. 80, Garden City, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 8, 2016 at the funeral home with internment to follow at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC at 2:00 pm.
