Frank Humphrey Phillips, age 89, of Savannah passed away Monday, July 8, 2024.
Frank was born on November 16, 1934, in Flemming, GA to the late Lester Rufus Phillips and the late Edell Gill Phillips. He lived and loved life to the fullest with his family and friends, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, oyster roasts, gardening, vacationing, yearly Christmas parties, and walking with the Fenian Society in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He was a man of his word and had honor, courage, and integrity. He served God and his country faithfully and loved his family passionately.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Rufus, Mary, Bertha, and Leon; and his eldest daughter, Nedra.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Ann Phillips; children, Frank Jr, Melissa, Eric, and Vicki; grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Kelly, Caitlin, Vinny, Tony, and Tori; and great grandchildren, Addison, McKynlee, Easton, Killian, and Delaney.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).
Interment will follow in Bonaventure Cemetery.
