Floyd Eugene Taylor, 85, of Midway died Friday, April 14, 2017 at his residence under the care of Hospice and surrounded by his family.
A native of Savannah, Eugene was the son of the late Lorane Ambrose Taylor and Floyd Taylor.
He had worked for Union Camp for 24 years then went to work and retired from Krispy Kreme; A member of Solid Rock Christian Fellowship Church, the Roger Lacey Masonic Lodge #722 F&AM's, Alee Shrine Temple where he was in the Hillbilly Unit.
Eugene enjoyed bowling, boating and water skiing.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Shirley Blalock Taylor; children, David Eugene Taylor (Ann) of Sanford, FL, Cynthia Favata (Ted) of Silver Springs, NV, Bert Taylor (Mary) of Savannah, GA; his sister, Faye Kolgaklis (Kim) of St. Mary's, GA; grandchildren, Emily Overholser (Stephen), Amy Swartz (Mike), William Keith Hudson (Amanda), Chris Taylor (Hope), Jennifer Kelly (Travis); 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Christianna Cannady and Hospice Savannah the loving care and support giving to Eugene and family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Solid Rock Christian Fellowship Church, 4575 North Coastal Highway Fleming, GA with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Luther Rowland officiating. Graveside Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Bonaventure Cemetery.
