Faye Keene Roberts, 90, of Savannah and widow of Robert Charles Roberts, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 28th at Hospice Savannah on what would have been her 71st wedding anniversary.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully for over 60 years in many capacities.
Faye retired from Savannah Bank and Trust Company and First Union Bank after 33 years of service. She worked her way up through various departments to become the branch manager at the Largo and Wilmington Island branches, ultimately assuming the role of Assistant Vice President.
Faye was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was beloved by many and a faithful friend to all.
She is survived by her two daughters, Susan (Don) Golden and Sharon (Gary) Mitchell; four grandchildren: Donald Golden, Jr., Scott (Veronica) Golden, Robyn (Joseph) Gardner, and Emily (Michael) Thompson; and five great-grandchildren: Kayleigh and Peyton Golden, Sawyer and Canon Gardner, Eve Thompson and another great-grandson on the way; sister-in-law, Lillian H. Roberts; also, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 2, at from 10:00am until 12:00pm at Grace United Methodist Church, Waters Avenue, Savannah.
A funeral will be held at 12:00pm, Tuesday, January 2, following the visitation at Grace United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park, Wheaton Street, Savannah.
