Evelyn Loretta Marlowe of Bloomingdale, GA., went to her eternal home on Monday, November 21, 2022, at the age of 73.
She was born in Tallapoosa, AL, on July 1st, 1949, the oldest of three children of Nello Mae Thompson and Robert Bell.
In 1966, Evelyn met the love of her life, Richard Leonard Marlowe, and for 56 years they created and lived a beautiful life together.
She was a founding member of The Mustard Seed Church in Savannah, GA., and her faith was an integral part of her life. She was a leukemia survivor, and taught classes for 15 years. Countless lives were touched by her ministry.
Evelyn enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, Nena; and a mighty woman of God, a shining light for all that knew her. Her heart knew no bounds.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughter Rebecca Jung & her husband Stephen, her sons, Thomas Marlowe, James Marlowe & wife Kristen, Jack Neely & wife Lilian; seven grandchildren Brandy Anderson, Timothy Nobles, Dylan Marlowe, Hunter Marlowe, Colby Marlowe, Brittany James, Taylor Neely; two great grandchildren, Ivy Anderson & Aria Bradley. She is also survived by her brother Ralph Bell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The viewing will be on Friday, November 25, 2022, from 10-11am, with the funeral service to follow at 11am at The Seed Church in Savannah, GA. Officiated by Pastor Datha Thomas. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Thunderbolt, GA.
