Mrs. Eunice Solomons Oglesby, 88, of Savannah, died Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Hospice Savannah.
She was born in Estill, South Carolina, and she was a graduate of the Warren A. Candler School of Nursing in Savannah, Ga.
She was retired from St. Joseph's Hospital, where she served as a Registered Nurse for many years.
She was a former Regent of Lachlan McIntosh DAR Chapter.
She was a member of Montgomery Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Soprano Soloist in the Choir.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Oglesby, of Savannah, Ga; a son, Algernon S. Varn, III (Sharon) of Savannah, Ga; 2 daughters, Jane Varn Martin, Savannah, Ga; and Ann Shuman Ray (Tom) of Fernandina Beach, Fla; 2 brothers, Everett and William Solomons both of Tennessee; 1 stepson, Michael Oglesby; 3 stepdaughters, Michelle Randrup, Melanie Tuten, and Melissa Hebert; 4 grandchildren, Jane C. Martin, April Varn Walker, Sarah C. Shuman Fordham, and Elizabeth C. Martin Stacey; and 5 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10 - 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with The Rev. John Ruehl, officiating.
Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Remembrances: Hospice Savannah, or Montgomery Presbyterian Church.
