Ethel Teresa Sheppard Burchette, 62, of Rincon, GA, died Friday, at her residence after a long illness.
She was born September 27, 1958, in Savannah, GA. She was a graduate of Armstrong State College.
She worked for 25 years for Union Camp Paper Corporation, (International Paper), and had taught for 9 years at Effingham Christian School, having served as a 3rd grade Teacher and 1 year for Atlantic Tele Network.
She was a member of Redeemer Baptist Church and a former member of Taliaferro Baptist Church in Savannah, GA.
She was married in 1982 at Taliaferro Baptist Church, her achievements were that she always wanted to be a grandmother for her 3 grandsons and a granddaughter, Jack, Owen, Hudson and Harper.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Ilene Shearouse Sheppard, father, Franklin Noah Sheppard, sister, Linda Sheppard, two brother in laws, Jeffery Rollins and Jim Bramlett .
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Burchette of Rincon, GA, 2 daughters, Stephanie Griffin of Guyton, GA, Megan Newton of Pooler, GA, 3 sisters, Frankie Bramlett of Ellabell, GA, Suzanne Bramlett of Williston, S.C., Dorothy Rollins of Rincon, GA, 4 grandchildren, Jack, Owen, Hudson and Harper.
Mrs. Burchette will be taken to the Redeemer Baptist Church in Rincon, GA, to lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2021. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 p.m..
