Ernest T. Mccullough

Ernest Thomas McCullough, 93, of Savannah, GA, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, March 23, in his home after an extended illness.  Ernest was born the baby of 15 siblings in Gerard, GA on August 7, 1924.


He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and retired after 42 years working for National Linen Services in Savannah. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jean Hendrix McCullough, and 13 siblings, His brothers Fred, Carl, Anthony, Arthur, Joe, Jesse, Grady, and Flonnie McCullough; his sisters Ethel, Clara Belle, Myrtle Daniel, Bell Oliver, Lois Drawdy.

Ernest is survived by his brother, Lorenzo Dow McCullough (Betty) of Richmond Hill; by his three children, Linda McCullough Thrift (Jesse) of Nahunta, GA; Wayne T. McCullough of Springfield, GA; Gary E. McCullough of Savannah, four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.




Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 28 2018 at 11:00 am at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (Hodgson Memorial Chapel). The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the funeral service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Nathaniel Boles will officiate the service. Baker McCullough Funeral Home (Hodgson Memorial Chapel) is in charge of the arraignments.
