Ernest Lamar "Speedy" Lynch, 86, of Savannah, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 at Hospice Savannah after a courageous battle with lung disease.
Ernest was born Jan 26, 1931 on the Isle of Wright to Charlie E. and Lelia Lynch. The family moved to Savannah while he was an infant.
He was married to Harriet Brunson Lynch for 66 years.
He was a master carpenter and retired from Braun Construction Company. He restored many Historical Homes and Business's in Savannah over his career. He was well known for his expertise in restorations.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Larry O. Lynch, Leroy S. "Buck" Lynch, Lola Lynch Gottlieb, Lillie DoodleLoper, Lottie L. "Bea" Faust, Charles H. "Junior" Lynch.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet, a daughter, Sandra Lynch, a son, Steve Lynch (Joleen), and two grandaughters, Chloe Lynch and Lindsey Lynch, of Tybee Island whom he dearly loved, and a special friend, Mike Watson.

Visitation: 4 - 7 p.m. Friday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
