Emily Faye Weeks McNear, 88, of Savannah, GA died Saturday, October 16, 2021.
Faye was born in Dublin, GA (Laurens County, GA) to the late Henry T. Coleman and Mamie Leigh Lavender.
Faye was retired from Savannah Bank and Trust Company and Wachovia Bank after 27 ½ years. Faye handled “New Accounts” at Savannah Bank and Trust Co.
Faye was a member of Bull Street Baptist Church since the age of 12, and the Nelson Sunday School Class.
She was a member of the Savannah Bank Employees Club, the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, a docent with the Green Meldrim House, the Tuesday Luncheon of Savannah Electric and Power Co., and a member of the retired Ladies Luncheon, and the Savannah Woman’s Club.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Alfred McNear; her son, Gregory Eugene Weeks; and siblings, James Coleman, Mildred Faulk, Hilda Bongiorino, Kimble Messick, Shirley White, and H.T. Coleman. She is survived by her son, James Franklin McNear; daughters, Donna Faye Weeks Sasser (Duane) and Karen Jean Weeks Ayala (Richard); 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2o21 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Rev. Earnie Pirkle and Rev. Bill Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances may be made to Bull Street Baptist Church.
