Elvie Marjorie Smith Bowers, 86, of Savannah, died Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Azalealand Nursing Home.
She was born in Coffee County, Ga., and was formerly employed by the Mars Company.
She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Bowers.
She is survived by 2 sons, Melvin Bowers, Jr., and Dean Bowers; 3 daughters, Pamela Wilson, Julie Hauser, and Connie Brown, 2 brothers, Andy Smith, and Donald Smith; 2 sisters, Carolyn Cobb,and Linda Leonard; son in law, Jimmy Silvey, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 , in the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Garden City Chapel.
Interment: will follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Nixville Baptist Church Cemetery, in Estill, South Carolina.
