Elouine Estelle Scott Ryan, 90, of Savannah, died Saturday, Feb 3, 2018 at Azalealand Nursing Home.
She was born in Screven County, GA., but grew up in Savannah, GA.
She graduated from Commerical High School and Draughon's Business College. Elouine retired from Kaiser Agricultural Chemical and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she participated in the MYF and made many lifelong friends. She was the first to open a restaurant, The Boar's Head, on Riverstreet, sparking revitalization of the area. She loved traveling and visited many countries. She was also an avid snow skier, Nascar and Atlanta Braves baseball fan, and loved the color purple. Her Florida lake home and North Carolina mountain home were very dear to her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Ryan, Sr., her parents Perlie and Eulalah Scott; brother-in-law, Karl Monson; and two stepsons, Dana and Ken Ryan.
She is survived by her sister, Rita Helen Scott Monson; nephew, Scott Monson (Jody); nieces, Donna Wall (Stevie), Diana Bailey (Gary), and Debra Barnard (Joey); two great-nieces, Richelle and Reagan; and two great-nephews, Ross and Eric; stepdaughter Kathy Clay (Melvin), two stepsons, William Ryan, Jr. and Gary Ryan (Lori).
The family expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude to our friends at Azalealand for the love and care given to Elouine over the past few years.
Visitation: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7th, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Rev. Ben Gosden officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
