Elizabeth Ann Eason Simmons, age 75, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
Mrs. Simmons was born on November 11, 1944 in Savannah, GA, the daughter of the late Marie Bart Eason and Spencer J. Eason. She was a 1962 graduate of Savannah High School. She worked for many years with Yates Astro Pest Control. She was a long time parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and was a member of Daughters of Ireland. She enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Simmons, Jr.; son, John “Jay” Simmons; brother, H. Bart Eason; and brother-in-law, Norman “Buck” Tillman. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Marie Simmons Black; granddaughter, Makayla Marie Black; sister, Eileen Eason Tillman; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 7020 Concord Road, Savannah, GA 31410. Burial will follow the service at Catholic Cemetery.
